Fort Erie Animal Hospital Staff

Veterinarians:
Doctor Steven Toenjes, a 1986 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, has been at Fort Erie Animal Hospital since 1991.  He has learned over the years the strong connection between people and their pets.  Dr. Toenjes, his wife and 2 kids are fortunate to be servants to “Gracie” their cat.  He has also done volunteer work at spaying and neutering clinics in Greece and Portugal as well as at Casa Lupita in Nicaragua. Dr Sukhdeepak Gill has been part of the Fort Erie Animal Hospital team since 2010 and is proud to now serve the community as the clinic’s lead veterinarian. He has practised
veterinary medicine in both Buffalo and Toronto, where he gained valuable experience in small animal care.
Dr. Gill grew up in northern India, where he developed a lifelong passion for working
with animals. He is a 2000 graduate of the College of Veterinary Sciences at Punjab Agricultural University. He is dedicated to ongoing professional education and providing
compassionate, high-quality care.
When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Gill enjoys spending time with his wife and two
children. He is also an avid fan of soccer and field hockey.
Registered Veterinary Technicians:
Alicia grew up in Fort Erie, she graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Medialle College in Buffalo, NY. Shortly after graduation became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Alicia worked in Ottawa and Niagara region. She lives in Ridgeway with her fiancee Jim and her 11 year old tabby cat Elliott.
In her spare time , she likes to walk, cycle and read.
Theresa was born and raised in Fort Erie. She always wanted to help make a positive difference in the lives of animals.She is a graduate of St. Lawrence College and has worked in the Niagara region since then. Theresa joined the team at Fort Erie Animal Hospital in December 2015.
Receptionists:
Pauline has worked at Fort Erie Animal Hospital for several years. She hasn’t found a pet she didn’t like and loves to help people. Her dogs Holly and Lexi are a big part of her life.
